Engineering first, AI second
Our mission
Puffin-Hub exists to close the gap between what modern AI can do and what industrial operations can trust. We build physics-informed AI solutions for automation and advanced control — systems that earn their place in the control room because they respect the physics, the constraints and the accountability that industrial operations demand.
We believe the next generation of industrial intelligence will not come from replacing engineering knowledge with data, but from combining the two — rigorously, transparently and with reliability as a design requirement rather than an afterthought.
Where we come from
Puffin-Hub is based in Trondheim, Norway — surrounded by one of Europe's densest concentrations of process industry, energy systems and cybernetics research. Our roots are in control engineering and applied research: we speak the language of process engineers first, and bring machine learning to it.
Why the puffin?
The puffin is a North Atlantic native: a bird that looks modest on land but is a remarkably capable flyer and swimmer — efficient, precise and built for harsh environments. It is how we think industrial AI should be: unpretentious, dependable and quietly excellent where conditions are hardest.
